it appears he was eating his breakfast this morning and suddenly vomitted and immediately died. the vet said it could be a massive heart attack..one of the nurses i work with used to work cardiac and she said heart attacks can stimulate a parasympathetic response with sudden vomitting or explosive diarrhea so maybe that is what happened..i honestly do not know...i just know that without any kind of warning, we lost rocky today.
rocky was a beautiful, large and very healthy cat. i think he was happy here..he had his lifelong friend remmy (aka rumble), a comfortable and clean home and lots of good food and treats on hand. he pretty much got along well with the rest of the cats. altho... once in a while i did catch him chasing someone, but he would stop when he was caught red handed. i think he thought the chase was just in good fun...usually the chased cat thought it was not such great fun.
rest in peace rocky you were a very good cat and i will miss you.
