It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood....

What a gorgeous morning. the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the children next door have all bundled into their classrooms. I really like living next to a school, I like the sound of childrens voices. The animals were very kind during the night, (comparatively speaking), a few minor puddles, and few Romeo drips and one little poop...someone was snacking in the big cat box tho...wilbur!!! The icky little chi's made a bee line for my bedroom as soon as I got home (they think I might let them sleep with me...not!) I can sleep thru alot of things but little Scratchy and Itchy are not two of them.

I have decided that Murphy is a twisted little guy. I think it is the american eskimo dog in him, they are a bit weird. He has spent the last week, jumping on me and alternately licking and nibbling on me. He wants something very badly from me (like a quiet animal free, or at least animal sparce, home of his own) and I can't give him that yet. So he is trying in his own twisted way, to make a connection, form a bond, and stake a claim on my heart....keep working on it Murph, we are slowly but surely getting there. His previous human called yesterday, she wanted to come and visit him. I had to say no. I know she misses him and really wants to see him, but he still misses her too badly too. I explained to her if she comes now, he will think she has come to take him home and when she doesn't, it will hurt him again. I am not sure she really understands this, and I suspect that she will continue to feel a desperate need to see him and I am not sure how this will all deal put in the end, but I will do my best not to harm Murph, and not to hurt her and try to get Murphy settled and happy as soon as he can. He might be the next one to need to share my bed, I am just not sure, I can share Peter's spot quite yet. But since it is such a beautiful day, I will do my favorite Scarlett O'Hara trick and worry about it tomorrow! I think I will go now and play with the pig and see if I can get her to eat something besides animal crackers and carrots. She is kind of stubborn.
