As we step into 2025, SAINTS Rescue is filled with hope, determination, and an unwavering commitment to the animals who need us most. This year will bring challenges—an uphill climb in many ways—but it will also bring incredible opportunities. The most significant of these is preparing our new property, a space that will soon become a sanctuary for our senior and special needs residents. We’ve already begun the hard work: laying down floors, designing safe and comfortable areas for each species, and making plans to ensure that every animal who calls SAINTS home will have the comfort, care, and dignity they deserve.
The holiday season reminds us of the importance of love, connection, and family. Here at SAINTS, family isn’t just human—it’s every senior dog, every forgotten cat, every resilient farm animal that finds their way to us. They are the souls often overlooked, the ones in need of extra care, extra patience, and, most of all, extra love.
A Bittersweet Goodbye to Blue
Not every story at SAINTS has a happy ending, but we find comfort in knowing that love, even when brief, is never wasted. Blue, a beautiful soul with a history of heart disease and seizures, recently found her forever home with an incredible foster family. For 17 days, she lived the life she had always deserved—cared for, cherished, and showered with kindness. She had roast beef, chicken, and the thrill of car rides. She had people who adored her. And most importantly, she knew, without a doubt, that she was home.
Blue’s time was short, but it was filled with everything that matters: love, safety, and the feeling of belonging. She passed away in the arms of those who loved her, knowing she was wanted and treasured.
Rest easy, sweet Blue. You were deeply loved, and your spirit will always be part of SAINTS.
New Faces, New Journeys
In recent weeks, we’ve welcomed a group of new residents: A goat, a piggie, Guinea pigs, chickens and more cats—each with their own story, their own past, their own needs.
One dog still searching for his forever home is Darwin. Darwin has a big heart, but he is selective with people—some he bonds with instantly, while others he just can’t seem to connect with. We don’t know if it’s past trauma or just who he is, but what we do know is that with the right person, Darwin will be the most loyal, loving companion. He adores walks, pets, and curling up close for snuggles. If only we could bend the rules for Nathan, who has completely fallen for him—but with no dogs allowed in his apartment, Darwin must wait for someone else to see him the way Nathan does. Someone out there is meant for Darwin, and we won’t stop until we find them.
Moving Forward with Love
As we take on the challenges of 2025, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose. Every animal that comes through our gates deserves the very best, whether they stay for a lifetime or just a few days. We are here for them. We will fight for them. And with the continued support of our incredible community, we will make sure that every forgotten, overlooked, and special soul finds the love and care they deserve.
Here’s to a year of compassion, resilience, and new beginnings.
