My Story

Not everyone sees everything the same way. We all know that. Not everyone sees an animal and thinks they are an actual sentient being, with just as much right to their life as we have. Some people see an animal and wonder how they can benefit from him or her.

This is Allister

Allister found his way to a property he really shouldn’t have. The people who lived there saw him as someTHING not someONE. And they had plans for him. Did they ever.

SAINTS heard about this friendly boy, how he would run to the fence to greet the neighbours and flip over for belly rubs. Those neighbours, and some like-minded friends then decided this little pig needed help and they set out to find it.

Via the always wonderful PEACE Rescue & Farm Sanctuary, we accepted Allister into our care this week. Right now he’s buried in a huge pile of straw, safe in a stall. He doesn’t know why he was moved, or where. He doesn’t know how many people banded together to make this happen quickly. He doesn’t know he’s got friends waiting to meet him. She doesn’t know the gentle hands that helped him into a crate, then the truck ride was actually saving his life. He doesn’t know he is safe now, and will be for the rest of his life.

Every animal, given the right home, could be placed in foster care or adopted. To find out if one of our animals could be a fit for you, please email adoptions@saintsrescue.ca to start a conversation.
