My Story

Bentley has had pancreatitis and is on a strict low-fat diet. His
separation anxiety is now under control. He is a loving and caring dog
who would do great in a home where people are around all the time.

Back in June 2023, an untimely death occurred in his family, and everything got turned upside down. Nobody else in the family could take him on. Although SAINTS was full, we wanted to help the sweet dog with some health issues that needed investigating. Bentley was placed directly in permanent foster care, bypassing our sanctuary. This is risky—sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Unfortunately, this time, it didn’t.

The family we chose for Bentley struggled to manage his anxiety. They tried numerous approaches, but Bentley just doesn’t want to be alone and has other triggers that cause him serious angst. It was not an easy decision for them to bring him to us, but we stand behind all our animals and always accept them back. That’s the commitment we make whether it’s a budgie or a cow, or anything in between.

Every animal, given the right home, could be placed in foster care or adopted. To find out if one of our animals could be a fit for you, please email adoptions@saintsrescue.ca to start a conversation.
