My Story

Meet Cassie (long haired polydactyl) who came in with her sister Kelsey (short haired)

Kelsey and Cassie are sisters. They have hypothyroidism, which is rare in cats. It requires ongoing regular vet care both to stabilize them and maintain their thyroid levels. LAPS had the girls in a foster home but they were unable to stay any longer. Two kittens who will require life long regular bloodwork and medication (plus managing any and all of the other linked health concerns that come up) simply don't have a bright future in our shelter system. The likelihood of someone wanting to take this on is nil. While the exact opposite of senior, these little ones needed us all the same.

Welcome to your new home (which is also OUR new home) Kelsey and Cassie!
