In Memory of Deborah

My Story

With the sad loss of Nico, we were able to accept Deborah. Nico came from SARC earlier this year, we were able to fit him in after Lucy went into permanent foster care. I think Nico would be happy we were able to give his spot to another senior from the same shelter…and a tuxedo no less!

Deborah was found as a stray. She has a tattoo that dates back to 2006. None of the contact information is up to date, long disconnected. Can you imagine being out on the street at 18? In human years, that’s like being almost 90. Being homeless as a super senior could not have been easy. She was lucky. Deborah has been started on pain medication and is eating an appropriate diet to help her feel her best.

We don’t know how long she will be with us, but we are happy to be able to offer her safety and happiness for however long she has.
