My Story

Meet Louise

Louise came in with her best friend Thelma. Having these sisters move to our sanctuary was in the works for weeks. Sheep NEED other sheep. When we heard about these ewes, we started planning to accept them right away.

They, and a llama friend, were left on the land they knew as home when the property was sold. The family who bought the property did not know anything about sheep, but for the last 9 years they cared for them anyway. A few years ago the llama passed, and now the owners were looking to move the sheep along. Even after that many years, they were not given names.

Well, that’s the past

Today Thelma and Louise have names.

And a home.

And immeasurable value.

Once they settle in, they will meet their new family, Peep, Daisy, Toodles and DeeDee.

We will be playing catch-up on vet care for a little while but rest assured Thelma and Louise, your days of running scared are over ❤️
