Meet Magnolia

My Story

Magnolia was found as a stray. She was taken to the Coquitlam animal shelter. She was emaciated (BCS of only 2/9). She had fecal matter caked around her ulcerated anus with an infestation of maggots 🤢. The vet notes state "There is a severe, extensive and raw open wound covering the entire perineal region". Can you imagine? She clearly has some kind of trauma happen but we don't know what. She does not have control of her bowels at all and cannot empty her bladder. She can pee, she just doesn't seem to able to fully empty. Magnolia is missing almost all of her teeth, the vet noted severe dental disease, which seems extreme for a 12 ish year old cat. For the last month the staff at the Coquitlam shelter have worked really hard to get Magnolia healed. We will get her X-rays and exam done this week for more information.

She is very sweet and affectionate! We are glad we are in a position to help her 💖
