My Story
Mr T, a red-eared slider, found herself at SAINTS through owner surrender, thankfully not as a result of being dumped in local ponds—a sadly common fate for this invasive species in BC. Often purchased without a full understanding of their needs, red-eared sliders can live over 40 years, requiring specific care conditions.
Initially thought to be a male, we discovered that Mr T is actually a female when compared to our other red-eared slider. Females of this species tend to be larger in size.
At SAINTS, Mr T now enjoys a safe environment where her needs are carefully met. We are committed to providing her with the appropriate care and attention to ensure she lives a comfortable and healthy life.
