In Memory of Nakita

My Story

Nakita is your typical Shepard in that she is wary of strangers, and bonds intensely with her favorite people.

Nakita is wary of men and does bark at them (but quickly gets over herself). She is selective about her dog friends and would do better in a home without them. She chases cats as well, so again probably wise her her to be the only animal in the home. She loves toys and adores playing ball.

Nakita is fully housebroken and simply adores car ride.

She does have a congenital disease where the use of her back legs is going (she is weaker than a normal dog). This is different than the bad back end that Shepard's get. The good news is that it does not really bother her and it is a slow moving disease so she could have LOTS of time left. The bad news is that is could eventually leave her as a paraplegic. She is on pain control to help manage a bit of arthritis in her back.

Nakita also has allergies and takes a daily pill and eats a hypoallergenic diet.

We know it sounds like she has a lot of issues (and she does) but we can guarantee that you will not find a more amazing dog, and she is just waiting for that perfect person to be willing to take a chance on her.
