Meet our newest Saint!
Red (now named Red Rhoda) was surrendered to our sanctuary. She was originally part of a 14 hen flock but over the years 11 of them passed away, leaving just 3. Very recently there was a traumatic predator event. Red was the only survivor. Her family was devastated and wanted to do right by Red but they are not in a position to bring in more chickens. The owner reached out and at an incredible 10 years old this hen definitely meets our mandate. Once she finishes quarantine Red Rhoda will move into the main coop where Leah, Merlin, Alex and Isis will no doubt befriend her. 🤞
