My Story

Not the ending anyone wanted.

We had to let Riley go 💔💔

Riley spent nearly 48 on IV fluids. Her bladder wouldn’t fill and her skin was still stuck to her bones. Bones that were all too prominent. After looking at her bloodwork, we knew things were much worse than we had hoped. Riley was starved. That, and severe dehydration, had caused too much damage to her organs.

We were too late.

Riley died peacefully. Both SAINTS and Fraser Valley Humane Society - Feline Rescue & Adoption Centre. FVHSwere with her when she passed.

She had a name. She mattered. She wasn’t left to just eventually die in a box, in a pool of her own urine. She wasn’t “nobody’s” cat. She was all of ours.

Thank you Eagle Hill Animal Hospital staff for trying. We really hoped for a better outcome.

Riley is now at peace. 😞
