Meet Sabriel!
We don’t often take in very young animals. There are times where we come together with other rescue groups to save lives. Sabriel was surrendered to Katie’s Place. Katie’s is an exceptional rescue group but there are some medical conditions they just cannot manage. Sabriel has a severe “tail pull” injury, which has resulted in neurological damage. She cannot empty her own bladder. She requires regular bladder expressions. Her bowels work, but she does not have full control of that either. Her tail is completely limp and there is severe damage at the end that will likely require amputation. Sabriel is only 4 months old. Enduring such trauma yet still being sweet as pie is a testament to how wonderful this cat is.
SAINTS took on Sabriel from Katie’s, and Katie’s in making room in one of their foster homes for an older kitty we had committed to (but has not been surrendered yet). Instead of one, two lives have been saved.
Thank you Katie's Place Animal Shelter for allowing us the pleasure of helping Sabriel. Hopefully we can get her to a point where she can flourish in one of our permanent foster homes. But if not, our sanctuary is her sanctuary.
Every animal, given the right home, could be placed in foster care or adopted. To find out if one of our animals could be a fit for you, please email adopt@saintsrescue.ca to start a conversation.
