Meet Smokey

My Story

Smokey is one of the special needs animals that make their way to SAINTS. He is only six years old but he has severe skin issues. He came in with a large mat on his back that covered small bumps and a scabbed area. When that area is touched Smokey looks like he is having a seizure because it is so extremely itchy. As a result of Smokey has been over grooming himself in an attempt to relieve himself of the pain and has lots of thin patches of hair. He can also be pretty aggressive when touched on his back. We have treated Smokey with revolution and other medication and have taken a blood panel to see if we can discover the underlying reason for Smokey’s skin issues. Hopefully Smokey will find comfort soon.
