we talked about possibly IV therapy, inserting a feeding tube to get some nutrition into him and sedation with multiple enemas and manual disempaction to clear out his profoundly obstructed bowels. but when push came to shove both the vet and i thought it was supremely unfair to even attempt any of it as he so obviously just wanted to be done. he relaxed immediately into his pre-med, it was the first time i have seen him comfortable since he arrived. he slipped away peacefully and i truly feel he was grateful to be let go.
