a senior cocker whose owner went into facility care and has been living in the back yard. taken in by her groomer a month ago, but couldn't find a home and can't stay where she is. has ear and eye issues....since carol from csrbc is still in hospital, i guess we will step up for this girl. saints welcomes muffin.
a young senior cat gotten for free from the classifieds 4 years ago. severely swollen gums, can no longer eat, emaciated. owner unable to pay the several hundred dollars in vet care and opted for euth. the vet refused and referred them to saints. we welcome eddie.
oh and a new rabbit too...saints welcomes sidney, a dumped in the park bunny rescued by nicole's parents...great work for newbie rescuers (i still can't catch simon, our wild white driveway bunny)
crap, it looked like it was going to be a nice day.
everyone has arrived safely.
eddie is still hiding in the carrier in his cage so i haven't really had a good look at him yet. emma said maybe she could foster him, so we will talk again next week after he is seen by the vet and on a treatment course...yay emma!
muffin is grazing, going from bowl to bowl and eating a little bit here and a little bit there, she is a real cutey.
sidney is adorable...i think she is a small female lop in heat (very red and swollen down there!) nancy who works at our vets and is our bunny expert will try to come up and confirm her sex for us tomorrow....i really hope she didn't meet any roaming intact males in her brief time in the park!!!
