it is impermeable to spills...in fact you could pick up the whole freaking thing and probably dump it into a bucket of water and it would be fine. the only thing i am worried about is it sort of looks like a fun chew toy so someone may decide to eat it...we will have to see.
it is a lilac colored purple rubber and it does kind of piss me off that my grandaughter has a more grown up looking key board than me.
