My Story

Meet Bea (previously Birdie)!

Bea was one of the hens accepted as part of a group and placed in foster care. She was actually the first hen we were asked to take, before learning the others needed help too. Bea had been a bully to Dahlia, another foster hen, and we thought Dahlia might be happier without her. As always, we welcomed our permanent fosters back. After a slow introduction, Bea settled in nicely with Martha and Rodney. Bea was very friendly, loved being handled, and enjoyed human company. At just a year and a half old (2024), she was still young by our standards.

Every animal, given the right home, could be placed in foster care or adopted. To find out if one of our animals could be a fit for you, please email adoptions@saintsrescue.ca to start a conversation.
