My Story

Bubba, at 5 years old was transfered from the over-capacity shelter, SARC, where the demand for help was overwhelming. Diagnosed with diabetes, Bubba urgently required a transfer. His obesity further complicated matters, making walking a challenge. We quickly arranged pain management and devised a diet plan for him. Since starting insulin, Bubba is already on the road to recovery.

Update: Remarkably, Bubba has embraced these changes, displaying his friendly and adaptable nature. Recently, he has shown signs of going into remission, a significant milestone in his journey. With this positive development, we hope Bubba will soon be ready for adoption! However, it's vital to continue his weight loss journey to prevent the return of diabetes. His mobility has greatly improved, and he thrives in a nurturing home environment.
