Meet Edgar

My Story

This is Edgar. Once he completes his separation we will introduce him to Pepe and Princess (currently in foster). If it goes well, the three of them will move into the barnyard, away from Rodney, Martha and Tilly.

Edgar is massive. He’s a Cornish cross (meat bird), bred to grow as big as possible, as fast as possible. Even though Edgar was rescued in just the nick of time he will likely still have a shortened life span. Science is fascinating but also disturbing, we often don’t see or care about the consequences of our endless pursuit of the almighty dollar.

Edgar will live with these consequences, none of which he would have chose for himself. But, he does get to live.

He’s one lucky dude. He’s a SAINT.
