Jesse arrived at SAINTS from the New Westminster Animal Shelter, where he was surrendered and in need of sanctuary placement due to his advanced age of 20 years (2024)—yes, really!
Upon his arrival, Jesse was in poor condition, with his nails overgrown and causing discomfort as they had grown into the pads of his feet. He required surgery to suture the holes left after his nails were trimmed, along with veterinary care to address his underweight condition and other medical concerns.
Since then, Jesse has made remarkable progress. He has gained weight and enjoys exploring the big cat room at SAINTS. Despite his feistiness when it comes to receiving medications, Jesse has settled in well and is known for his bright, happy, and friendly demeanor.
