My Story

Rupert came to SAINTS in 2017 as a visitor. His family home had to be evacuated during the terrible wildfire season in BC that Summer.

So Rupert, and a few of his barn buddies from the interior, had plans to hang out at SAINTS for a while until things were safe to go home.

Once here, Rupert became fast friends with our other resident donkey, Ziggy. By the time things up North were safe again, Rupert and Ziggy had formed an inseparable bond. Splitting up their friendship would have been very hard on both of them, so SAINTS offered to provide a permanent home for Rupert.
