Last year's The Amazing Raise campaign stated that the year 2020 was unprecedented as we were going through a global pandemic. SAINTS was unsure how we would survive the coming year as we had to close down all of our live events, public tours, lost some volunteers, and (like every individual out there) had to learn to live with supply chain issues. Good news is we got through the year because of our dedicated supporters. Bad news is that we are still limited in how and when we take on new volunteers, our public tours are still on hold, and we still cannot do live events. What does that mean for The Amazing Raise 2021. It has officially become our largest fundraiser because we have again cancelled our open house and our fall dinner and auction. The staff, volunteers, and even the saintly crew have their fingers, toes, paws, and a few feathers crossed that this will be our biggest year ever in raising much needed funds. Our goal is $48,000.
HOW THIS FUNDRAISER WORKS
The Amazing Raise has always put the fun into fundraising. And this year is no different. The SAINTS’ are divided into 4 teams based on that part of SAINTS they consider home. There is the House , the MP Room, the Barn, and the Shop. Each group is on a race to raise the most amount of money for their respective areas; it’s all very exciting and for such a great cause! Each group has a team captain. We will be sharing their stories in an effort to showcase the type of animals that come to live at SAINTS.
We invite the public to join in the fun by giving a donation to
your favorite area of SAINTS. Just scroll down to the bottom of the
page to see each team's individual campaign board or just click on one
of the team's name just below this sentence.
Team Barn (The name says its all... the barn animals)
Team House (If you love dogs and cats this is
the team for you)
Team MP Room (The shy cats and dogs, a few not
so nice dogs, birds, and a turtle all live here)
Team Shop (Mostly the rabbit area but they are
willing to share with the occasional cat)
WHAT THE MONEY RAISED WILL GO TO
1. Install two generators sets (one for the MP Room/Shop and one
for the House). SAINTS is located in a rural location and therefore
is susceptible to electrical disruptions. It has lost power 12 times
in the last two years. Not only will our most senior guys appreciate
this renovation but the staff and volunteers will be even more appreciative.
2. Replace worn stall mats and paint the feed room in the barn area
3. Replace the linoleum in the MP room (Johnny Cash has destroyed parts of it)
4. Any excess monies will go to our ever in-flowing veterinarian bills.
