OUR GOAL

Yes… It is time again for our annual The Amazing Raise again. Over the last two years this has become our largest and most successful fundraiser. We are so lucky to have had a ready made successful online fundraiser to grow during the Covid 19 years. We are crossing our fingers that The Amazing Raise will be successful again this year because we have mighty huge plans for the money we hope to raise. Our goal is $60,000.

HOW THE AMAZING RAISE FUNDRAISER WORKS

The Amazing Raise has always put the fun into fundraising. And this year is no different. The SAINTS’ are divided into 4 teams based on that part of SAINTS they consider home. There is the House , the MP Room, the Barn, and the Shop. Each group is on a race to raise the most amount of money for their respective areas; it’s all very exciting and for such a great cause! Each group has a team captain. We will be sharing their stories in an effort to showcase the type of animals that come to live at SAINTS.

WHAT THE MONEY RAISED WILL GO TO

Outstanding veterinarian bills and outstanding operational bills that affect the animals (i.e. feed, medication, cleaning supplies). Making sure our day to day operational issues are always our first priority.

Once the above is covered we hope to do the following

  1. Electrical Upgrades - As SAINTS has grown the need for electrical expanded, however the panels have not been professionally upgraded. In an effort to save money, the current system has become overloaded, rewired multiple times, and every breaker is being drawn to capacity. Daily tasks and needs are regularly reviewed and prioritized to avoid tripping the system (example: heat and dehumidifier cannot be run at the same time which results in mold and mildew buildup). At its current state, the electrical is insufficient and a potential hazard. Due to the locations of receptacles and breakers, extension cords are heavily relied on throughout the property which also creates a tripping hazard. In summary, upgrading the electrical at SAINTS is a high priority.
  2. MP Room Repairs - The buildings are now over 30 years old and the MP Room that was renovated by us at a time when we had little money has many, many issues. We need to correct plumbing issues, replace the roof and windows and address mole and mildew issues.
  3. New Furnace - The furnace in the House is outdated and rusted. Although it works it likely is inefficient and is living on borrowed time.
  4. Barn Upgrades - We would like to create a goat playground (enrichment) area. They need to have things to climb up and over and around and we would like to provide that. We also are looking to build a permanent mud pit for our pig Hazel. To do this we need to reinforce the fencing around the barn area so are looking to replace it.
