Wishes 4 Whiskers 4th Annual Charity Dinner & Auction September 18th, 2010

At the 2009 event each table had the presence of a very special animal from SAINTS. This year we would again like to have a SAINTS resident host a table. But this year we would also like to involve those who read the blog from far away or the volunteers who can't make it to the event. We have come up with a new twist on the "traditional" table sponosors and renamed it "Sponsor a SAINT" for $200. We are hoping that this may pique the interest of the long distant readers who could take our proposal and maybe get a group of friends from work or family members together and sponsor a table. Ten people would be $20 each or even 20 people would mean $10 each. Also we are hoping this idea might inspire the die hard volunteers of SAINTS to present this proposal to their work place. Perhaps your employer could match the $100 that a group of employees raise.
There are 20 tables and we have two sponsorships already so only 18 tables to go. I am sorry I don't know how to do a download on this website but if anyone would like a copy please email me at sheilakullar@citylumbersales.com
I am also looking for unique items to auction off in the live portion of the event such as last year a home cooked Indian dinner with Carol in the memorial garden. If anyone knows someone in the media that could get us perhaps a tour of a television station or if anyone knows anyone who drives a helicopter for a living and would donate a ride over the city of Vancouver. These are just two ideas of the top of my head. I have been reading on the internet about what makes a successful fundraiser and for live auctions people who attend are looking for items, experiences, and activities that are not easily purchased. These will have greater value and will encourage people to attend the event.
Apparently the following are examples of popular auction items.
