The best gala ever! Kudos to all of our donors, supporters, and volunteers

The 5th annual wishes 4 whiskers gala night at Pitt Meadows Golf was the best gala yet and it is thanks to all of our wonderful and generous volunteers, donors, and supporters who came together and did everything they could to make sure we could help ensure SAINTS can continue to help senior and special needs animals. Thank you to the 19 table sponsors, the 120 animal sponsors, and the 123 individuals that came to the dinner and auction last night. It was so nice to meet many of you and I wish I had a chance to meet you all.
Kudos! We grossed $32, 875 and after costs, netted $28, 900! That is really going to help with our vet bills. 55% of the money raised was from the animal and table sponsorships and from the ribbon sponsorship at the gala! Last year we netted a little over $22, 000. This year was a huge success.
I was pretty busy most of the night so unfortunately I did not get as many pictures as I would have liked so if you were there and snapped any pics (especially of the centre peices) please email them to volunteer@saintsrescue.ca and I would be happy to post them for people to see.
The day started eary for many of us setting up the tables, toppers and auction items
There were many wonderful items donated
Everyone seemd to have a great time!
Sheila did a wonderful job as Master of Ceremony
And Annette was amazing as hostess and auctioneer for the ribbon sponsorship auction to support our sanctuary and farm program
Bunny was wearing jackall ears and selling raffle stickers
and all in all, us farm girls cleaned up pretty nice

and to top it all off the new pig that arrived at SAINTS yesterday and was rescued from the Pitt River was named: Brad Pitt :)
** Thank you Polly B for capturing and emailing me this great photo of our centre pieces.
The beautiful 3-sided toppers would created by Shauna from Grand and Toy, who makes them every year for us as a labour of love! This particular table topper was sponsored by Dawn and as you can see in the centre of it is a vase is the saints animals (sponsor names on the back) hanging from curly willow. These were an integral part of our event. The table and animal sponsorships brought in over $6500 and ensured that the cost of the event were covered before the night even began and most importantly that every saints animal was present at the event and tables of our guests! Thank you to all who sponsored.
**be sure to check out Shelley`s video `Serving the Faithful`(see below post) it was a central part of the evenings presentations and is an amazing peice of work.
