i don't think we could have asked for a kinder nor more gentle death. she was quietly grazing in their lovely new pasture when the vet gave her the initial sedation. she grazed a bit more and then laid down to sleep before the vet gave her the final injection. no fear, no pain, just a peaceful passing from this world to the next.
