today was the sad passing of elizabeth

i don't think we could have asked for a kinder nor more gentle death. she was quietly grazing in their lovely new pasture when the vet gave her the initial sedation. she grazed a bit more and then laid down to sleep before the vet gave her the final injection. no fear, no pain, just a peaceful passing from this world to the next.

rest in peace elizabeth you will be greatly missed.

Rest peacefully, Elizabeth. So bittersweet on Sunday - welcoming the adorable lambs, but saying goodbye to Elizabeth.

I'm sorry that Elizabeth is gone, but I'm glad she was able to pass gently, peacefully and surrounded by those that loved her.

She was a good sheep...we will miss her. Nice that she was able to pass outside..on a beautiful day... in a field of lush green grass with her friends close by.
