castle was euthanized after spending the day at the vets hooked up to iV's. we don't think his diabetes was as much of an issue as a probable pancreatic cancer underlying it all. he was a strong cat who fought hard after being abandoned on the street when his owners moved. but he was old and he was sick. he was at a time in his life when he needed to be protected, cherished and cared for, not battling to survive day by day.
rest in peace castle, you were a very good cat and you were also courageously brave.
