she has been battling cancer for quite some time. maybe today was a day or a week too soon for her...still purring, eating and drinking, still interacting and loving attention. but that tumor was growing in behind her eye and we were afraid the pain meds would not be enough to keep her comfortable. we just did not want to risk leaving it too late. she was such a sweet cat, and she passed very peacefully, it was the last kind thing we could do for her.
myrna was greatly loved here and i think she was as happy here as she possibly could be. she was one of those cats that just took the challenges of living in stride and made the best of it.
rest in peace myrna, you were a very good cat and you deserved a much better life.
