she came to us in Aug 2012 from a rescue in Alberta, she was a 14 yr old feral living with a hoarder. she died today at age 18. yesterday via xray, we discovered 2 large tumors inside her.
had chloe not been feral, we could have maintained her longer with pain meds because she was still eating and drinking. but chloe never did learn to like too close human contact. she preferred to have a bit of space.
anne was with us when chloe passed away, she said she wished she could have heard chloe purr one day. i don't know, i think she was content here..except maybe when i took her catnip away (she was allergic to it and it was making her ill, plus she was binging on it way too much anyway.)
i think chloe appreciated the fact that we respected her wishes and did not force our need to receive reciprocal affection from her...all of us cared deeply for her and that she didn't care for us much in return, well really that was ok.
we will miss you chloe, 4 years of caring about you was a pretty long time. you were a very good cat.
rest in peace our little sketchy girl.
we will not forget you.
I never could find any picture of Chloe other than the one at the top hence it was used over and over again for her sponsorship card. I am sure she loved everyone for giving her the space she needed. R.I.P. Chloe
