it is a passion too.
the folks at saints who stick here year after year, staff and volunteer, are absolutely committed to improving the daily lives of unwanted senior and special needs animals.
i have been incredibly lucky to work with some of the most generous and selfless animal caregivers.
they take the job seriously, they feel it is a privilege to be able to serve the most vulnerable of homeless animals...the old, the sick, the frail, the lost.
the ones that everyone feels sorry for but no one wants.
every day we share the same goal..make their life better than it was before.
there is a deep satisfaction when an animal feels better, when an animal finds joy, when an animal relaxes in comfort, discovers the fun of play..maybe the very first time in their lives.
there is a great deal of pride when the animals blossom under our care and the spirits inside them once again start to shine.
it is not just a job..
caring for them has made each one of us a much better person.
and that is their magical gift.
It sure has made me a better person
