Very sad news to report 💔
We lost our boy Johnny Cash last night.
Johnny had a foreign object obstruction that was not retrievable via scope. We elected to not put our 7 year old giant breed dog through full abdominal surgery.
Johnny has been a mainstay at the shelter, a staff and volunteer favourite since the day he arrived over 3 years ago. Johnny was definitely a people dog, he had dog friends but preferred the human variety. Unfortunately that perfect home never came along for Johnny, and we did our best to give him the life he so deserved.
Johnny passed peacefully with some of his favourite people surrounding him.
He is already badly missed.
