HOW THIS FUNDRAISER WORKS
The Amazing Raise has always brought fun to fundraising. The SAINTS' animals are divided into four teams based on the area of SAINTS they call home: the House, the MP Room, the Barn, and the Shop. Each group races to raise the most money for their respective areas, and it's all very exciting for such a great cause! Each group has a team captain, and we'll be sharing their stories to showcase the types of animals that come to live at SAINTS.
We invite the public to join in the fun by donating to your favorite area of SAINTS. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page to see each team’s campaign board, or click on one of the team names below:
- Team Barn : The name says it all – the barn animals.
- Team House : If you love dogs, this is the team for you.
- Team MP Room : If you love cats this is the team for you.
- Team Shop : Home to the Rabbits.
WHAT THE MONEY RAISED WILL GO TO
This year, we start The Amazing Raise with many expenses. We have a new 5-acre property that we have not yet moved to, as all the upgrades and renovations must be completed before relocating. This means we have two properties to maintain, resulting in double the hydro, insurance, Fortis, and internet bills.
Typically, each year we plan a project to use The Amazing Raise funds. This year, we ask our supporters to help us cover our operational costs since much of our free money needs to go into developing the new property. We still have a shelter to run, which requires funds for feed, medical supplies, utilities, rent, and most importantly, veterinarian costs. In 2024, our veterinarian costs exceeded $335,000. So, this Amazing Raise is all about keeping our shelter running smoothly.
