In Memory of Skye

My Story

Skye, a former racehorse who was existing with an injury in unfavourable living conditions, came to SAINTS in February 2019.

One of our experienced staff members received a call about a gelding in need of rescue, and Carol and team and hopped in to action to ensure Skye would have a chance at a bright future.

He spent his first few months as a SAINT living at a boarding stable until we had room for him in our barnyard. In boarding he received excellent care and his urgent medical needs tended to.

He finally got to come home to SAINTS later that Spring. He took a little while to fit in, and learn to trust his new human friends. Wasn't long though before Skye gained some confidence, and now he's healthy and happy horse who lives his life to the very fullest.
